Greater Faith Attracts Greater Miracles and Greater Storms

Greater Faith Attracts Greater Miracles and Greater Storms

INTRODUCTION

Every believer desires greater miracles from God. We desire healing, promotion, open doors, divine provision, signs, wonders, and supernatural breakthroughs. But what many do not realize is that the moment your faith rises to another level, you also attract another level of warfare, testing, resistance, and storms.

Faith is not merely a tool for receiving miracles. Faith is also the anchor that keeps you standing in the midst of storms. The higher you rise in the things of God, the more the winds blow against you. The deeper your calling, the stronger the waves challenge you. And the greater your faith, the greater the storms you will encounter.

This is not a contradiction. It is a spiritual law. Scripture is full of examples where those with great faith walked into great miracles but also faced great storms. This sermon will reveal why and how.

FOUNDATIONAL SCRIPTURE

Matthew 14:22–33

Peter walks on water because he has greater faith than the rest of the disciples. Yet the same faith that lifted him above the water attracted a storm that tested him.

When he stepped out in faith, he stepped into a wind.

This is the core revelation:

The moment faith grows, warfare grows.

The moment faith advances, resistance increases.

The moment miracles rise, storms rise.

Faith does not eliminate storms. Faith gives victory through storms.

POINT ONE: GREATER FAITH ATTRACTS GREATER RESPONSIBILITY FROM GOD

Those with little faith receive little assignments. Those with great faith receive great assignments. The level of your faith determines the size of your divine responsibility.

Abraham had great faith. Because of that, God gave him a great calling and great promises. But the same faith attracted great tests. He was told to leave his homeland. He waited decades for the promised child. And he was later told to sacrifice that child.

This proves that the size of your test is connected to the size of your faith.

  1. God never gives deep battles to shallow believers.
  2. God never assigns heavy responsibilities to light shoulders.
  3. God never promotes you without allowing storms to prepare you.

Faith is God trusting you with more.

Storms are God proving you for more.

POINT TWO: GREATER FAITH ATTRACTS GREATER SPIRITUAL OPPOSITION

The enemy always fights whatever God favors. He always tests whatever God approves. When Jesus was baptized, heaven opened, and the Father said, “This is my beloved Son.” Immediately after that, the Spirit led Him into the wilderness to be tested, and the devil confronted Him.

  1. Spiritual elevation attracts spiritual opposition.
  2. New levels attract new devils.
  3. Greater faith attracts greater resistance.

In Mark 4:35–41, Jesus commanded His disciples to cross to the other side. It was a faith journey. A great storm immediately arose. Why? Because there was a great miracle waiting on the other side. A demon-possessed man was about to be delivered. That territory was about to be changed. So the enemy sent a storm to try to stop them.

Many storms arise in people’s lives not because God is absent, but because a great breakthrough is near. When your faith rises, the battle rises because your destiny rises.

POINT THREE: GREATER FAITH PRODUCES GREATER MIRACLES

Hebrews 11 gives the record of men and women who saw extraordinary miracles because they had extraordinary faith.

  • Abraham believed and Sarah conceived.
  • Moses believed and the Red Sea parted.
  • Joshua believed and the walls of Jericho fell.
  • Elijah believed and fire came from heaven.
  • Daniel believed and the lions could not open their mouths.
  • The apostles believed and the dead were raised.

Every miracle in Scripture was born from faith. The size of the miracle matches the size of the believer’s faith.

If the miracle is great, the faith behind it must be great. That is why God takes you through situations that stretch your faith, challenge your faith, and grow your faith. He enlarges your capacity so you can receive bigger things.

Faith must be stretched before it carries weight. Just like a muscle must be trained before it carries heavy load, faith must be tested before it handles great miracles.

POINT FOUR: GREATER FAITH ATTRACTS GREATER STORMS BECAUSE GOD TRUSTS YOU

In Matthew 14, only Peter stepped out of the boat. Only Peter received the supernatural experience of walking on water. But only Peter also faced the wind directly.

His faith attracted a miracle, but the same faith attracted a storm.

God allowed the wind to blow, not because Peter would drown, but because Peter was ready for a deeper revelation. Jesus wanted to show him that faith is not only for advancement but also for stability. Faith is not only for walking forward but also for standing firm.

When storms come, it is a sign that God trusts your spiritual maturity.

  • He trusts what He has put inside you.
  • He trusts that your faith can endure.
  • He trusts that your foundation is strong.

The storm could not drown Peter because Jesus was watching.

Your storm cannot destroy you because God is with you.

POINT FIVE: GREATER FAITH REVEALS GREATER ASPECTS OF GOD

  • You cannot know God as a healer until you face sickness.
  • You cannot know God as a provider until you face lack.
  • You cannot know God as a deliverer until you face oppression.
  • You cannot know God as a restorer until you face loss.
  • You cannot know God as a peace giver until you face a storm.

The reason some believers see deeper dimensions of God is because they face deeper challenges. The storm Peter faced revealed a side of Jesus the others had never seen. When Jesus walked on water, they saw Him not just as teacher, but as Master of creation.

Your storm is not a sign of God’s absence. It is an opportunity for God to reveal a greater dimension of His glory.

POINT SIX: GREATER FAITH IS BUILT THROUGH GREATER TESTS

James 1:2–4 teaches that trials produce patience, maturity, and completeness. Faith must be tested to be trusted.

God does not increase your faith through comfort, but through challenges.

He does not grow your faith in quiet seasons but through storms.

David fought lions and bears in private before facing Goliath in public. His private battles strengthened his faith for national victory. If he had never faced the lion, he would not have had faith for the giant.

Your present storm is training, preparing, and shaping you for a greater future assignment.

POINT SEVEN: GREATER FAITH ATTRACTS GREATER GLORY TO GOD

The greater the storm, the greater the testimony.

The greater the battle, the greater the victory.

The greater the struggle, the greater the manifestation.

When Peter was saved in the storm, all the disciples worshiped Jesus and said, “Truly You are the Son of God.”

The miracle flowed from Peter’s faith, but the glory returned to God.

This is God’s pattern.

He takes you through storms so that His greatness may be revealed.

Your life becomes evidence of His power.

Your testimony becomes a platform for others to believe.

Your survival becomes a sermon of God’s faithfulness.

CONCLUSION

Greater faith attracts greater miracles. That is why God increases your faith. But greater faith also attracts greater storms. That is why you should not be discouraged when trials intensify. It is a sign that your life is moving to a new level.

  • Every storm connected to greater faith will end with greater glory.
  • Every battle connected to greater faith will end with greater victory.
  • Every test connected to greater faith will end with greater testimony.

Therefore, do not fear storms.

Do not retreat from challenges.

Do not run from tests.

Do not regret the battles you face.

Because your faith is rising.

Your miracles are rising.

Your destiny is rising.

Your testimony is rising.

Your glory is rising.

FINAL DECLARATION

Lord, increase my faith.

Give me faith for greater miracles.

Give me strength for greater storms.

Let my faith grow until it matches my destiny.

Let every storm prepare me for my miracle.

And let every miracle reveal your glory in my life.
